They feel forced to set up expensive and flashy websites so that they have a digital footprint and look impressive if anyone searches for their name. Yet at the same time they know that they won’t attract any passing traffic because all the obvious keywords are dominated by Rightmove, Zoopla, S1Homes and the like. Even worse, in order to get their properties seen, they have to pay these very websites to show their houses. And then Zoopla and Rightmove spend that money on SEO to ensure that the estate agent’s website stays on page 37….
We are working with an estate agent to see how hard it is to push a property video to the top of Google, splitting the big websites for important keywords. The videos can also be used on social media and YouTube lets us link directly from the video into the agents sales pages. Take that Zoopla!
